German Chocolate Pecan Pie (Courtesy Ashley Holman)


4 large eggs

1/4 cup granulated white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup Yellow Label Syrup

4 oz. sweet dark german

chocolate, melted

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

1 - 9 in. frozen deep dish pie crust

3/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut

3/4 cup chopped pecans

Preparation: Preheat over to 350 degrees. Beat eggs, sugar, flour and salt until creamy. Blend in Yellow Label syrup, chocolate, butter and vanilla extract. Pour into pie crust. Combine the coconut and pecans, sprinkle over filling evenly. Bake for 45 minutes until set. Center of pie should spring back when lightly tapped.
